Around 100 local authorities will take on the Yellow Woods Challenge 2009. The recycling officer will write to all schools in its area and invite them to take part. A minimum of fifteen schools are needed before the Challenge can go ahead.
Check to see if your local authority is participating. If it is on the list, ask your child’s school if they have signed up and when they will be collecting the directories.
If your local authority or school is not taking part in the Yellow Woods Challenge 2008, you can still encourage your child to recycle your old directory.
Check out the Yell Group website for details of your nearest Yellow Pages recycling facility or call the Directory Recycling Helpline on 0800 671 444 – calls are free and lines are open 8:30-5:30, Monday to Friday.
