The Challenge is:
simple
The Challenge and campaign mascot, Kirk, encourage schoolchildren to get into the recycling habit by simply recycling old Yellow Pages directories.
educational
Schools taking on the Yellow Woods Challenge 2009 receive a free Teachers’ Toolkit full of educational posters and curriculum-linked educational activities to help teachers introduce recycling and woodland conservation across a broad range of subjects.
and fun!
With a total prize fund of £85,000 we hope you enjoy competing against schools locally and nationally to win cash prizes for recycling directories, building Yellow Pages artworks and engaging young people and your community in recycling.
For every pound Yellow Pages awards to schools, a matching pound is given to the Woodland Trust - the UK's leading woodland conservation charity.
