UK Awards


2006


In 2006, a record 2,048 schools participated in the Yellow Woods Challenge across the UK.

In addition to the UK Recycling Champion Awards, recognising outstanding recycling achievements, a brand new set of awards was launched – the UK Merit Awards.

In another new venture, Kirk and his pals from Yell and the Woodland Trust went to each of the eight winning schools to present the prestigious certificates and big cheques in fun, whole-school assemblies.

Small school category (120 pupils or fewer)

Medium school category (121 – 250 pupils)

(26.3 old Yellow Pages directories per pupil)

Large school category (251 pupils or more)
